Electric Vehicle Charging Stations

Electric vehicle drivers have a few locations on and off campus to charge their vehicles. These charging stations are powered by ChargePoint. Fees and time limits vary by location. To check current availability and rates, please visit chargepoint.com. Users can pay with contactless payment or through the ChargePoint mobile app. 

ISU Campus Locations

ISU Transportation Services

Located Northeast of ISU Campus off of Haber Road, Transportation Services offers a level 2 charger with a 4 car capacity for day time public use. These chargers are reserved overnight for university use. Vehicles are only allowed to park there while actively charging. Any vehicles in violation will be subject to ticketing. Ames Intermodal Facility 

Located Southwest of ISU Campus off of Hayward Road, Ames Intermodal Facility will offer a lever 2 charger with a 2 car capacity 24 hours a day. Vehicles are only allowed to park there while actively charging. Any vehicles in violation will be subject to ticketing. Currents listed here

City Hall

Located West of Ames City Hall, this location offers a level 2 charger with a 2 car capacity 24 hours a day. Vehicles are only allowed to park there while actively charging. Any vehicles in violation may be subject to ticketing and additional fees. Current rates here.

Bandshell

Located South of Bandshell Park, this location offers a level 2 charger with a 2 car capacity 24 hours a day. Vehicles are only allowed to park there while actively charging. Any vehicles in violation may be subject to ticketing and additional fees. Current rates here.

Dayton Avenue 

The Dayton Ave location will offer a level 3 charger with a car capacity of 1 for up to 125kW or 2 for up to 62.5kW each, available 24 hours a day. Vehicles are only allowed to park there while actively charging. Any vehicles in violation may be subject to ticketing and additional fees. Current Rates here.
